We recommend that you get your teeth professionally cleaned at least once per year
Our Dental Hygienists Claire and Grace have been with Cornelscourt Dental for many years now, and their role is to help you maintain your smile, through clean and healthy teeth and gums. At your appointment our hygienist team will professionally scale and polish your teeth, and help you put a maintenance plan in place for your daily oral care. They can also offer advice and guidance on the main lifestyle factors that affect the health of your teeth including:
The food we eat can affect our teeth, and can cause damage through staining or acid erosion. If your diet has had a detrimental effect on your teeth, our hygienists can offer advice and a deep cleaning to help repair your teeth.
One of the main causes of bad breath can be from an unclean mouth, gums and teeth. A clean mouth means fresher breath!
Oral Hygiene Plan
We will work with you to create a tailor made plan for the maintenance of your oral hygiene. This includes recommending the right dental products and types of tooth brushes, then showing you the most effective ways to use them.
Prevention Of Gum Disease
Early signs of gum disease include bleeding gums when brushing. Your hygienist will be looking out for this and if they spot symptoms they will deal with this before the disease has the chance to progress. It is important to pay attention to these signs, as if left untreated, gum disease can lead to the loss of teeth.
Drinking tea, coffee, red wine or fizzy drinks will gradually stain your teeth over time, our hygienist will be able to clean these stains away giving you a brighter, whiter smile.
